Nice men's suits for guys with bubble butts
May 31, 2015 7:37 AM
I'm looking for nicer ($350-800) men's suits for guys with bubble (larger, round) butts. Currently we have them extensively tailored but are there any nicer suit brands that are cut to favor this kind of body size? We've tried bespoke with very poor results, looking for off-the-rack.
Our tailor suggested Jos A Banks, which we will not do both because a) the suits are of poorer quality and the cloth is of poor quality and b) they are terrible to their employees.
Currently we primarily use Hugo Boss, but again, that requires substantial tailoring.

If you're located in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany, check out The Society Shop. My spouse had good luck there after striking out at Suit Supply.

A good tailor should have no issue making a suit that fits and is within the range of quality you deem worthy.
'Bespoke' and 'made to measure' are two different services, I'd look into what options you have around your city.
I have a body size that isn't typically flattered by off the rack and I have all my suits made for me, my tailor is able to account for all sorts of unique to me measurements as well(example, one arm being slightly longer etc)

While I cannot recommend a specific brand, I would think about kind of vents you would like on your suit jacket because they can emphasize or de-emphasize curves. Double vents (more British) can move more with your body (e.g. when you are sitting down). A single vented jacket (more American) can make the wearer appear slightly boxier. Here is a comparison image.

I saw a big guy with a really big rear on an otherwise usually proportioned body trying on suit jackets at this store the other day: Destination XL.

Where are you located? If you can get to a suit supply they may have something for you.
