Can I buy a Beuys coyote photo?

I'd like to obtain a print of one of (any of) the photos taken during Joseph Beuys' 1974 performance "I like America and America likes me." Is this even remotely possible without engaging an art dealer and spending 10s (100s?) of thousands of dollars? Is it even possible with that?

Buying the book is an inexpensive alternative.

Is your heart set on an original with a true monetary value? Or are you looking for a piece for your personal use and delight only?

If you only want one for your personal use (or to gift to a friend), you can find high-res pictures online, for example these ones :

Then you can get them printed in a reasonable size given the resolution. I recommend gallery quality by White Wall , specifically the print behind acrylic glass. It would probably look great if you get three and hang them in a row.

The photographs from that piece were taken by Caroline Tisdall. They have been exhibited under her name. Your best bet for getting a print would be to contact Large Glass, who exhibited these photographs in 2011. At the time, they were being offered for sale. Perhaps the gallery still has copies, or can put you in touch with the photographer.
