Recommendations for a weekend in Hamburg please...

So I got cheap flights to Hamburg for the weekend of the 5th November. Ideasfor places to stay (for 2 nights), eat and go sightseeing would be great. We want to go see some of the sights but also to go out to some clubs/bars as well and take advantage of the nightlife.

We're on a tight budget but it can be pushed for something thats worth it.

Is there anything that shouldnt be missed?

Here is a list of some Hamburg hostels (scroll down) that might be helpful. You should go see (and perhaps stay in) the Reeperbahn district, which is something like the Red Light District in Amsterdam without the hookers. The area is packed with clubs and bars and there are always a lot of people out partying.

You should be able to find a decent hostel for about 15-25 euros a night.

Last time I went to Hamburg I went to a really nice spa, which wasn't that expensive. I'll see if I can dig up a web-site address.

Oh yeah, you should go see the Fischmarkt (Fish Market) on Sunday morning. It starts really early, 5 AM I think, but it's worth it. They sell fish, meat, vegetables, flowers and much more, at low auction prices. It's just as much fun to watch the auctions as it is to actually buy something.
Afterwards, around 10 AM, they end it all by drinking beer and listening to rock music in a nearby building. A perfect chance to experience a true German "bierfest".
