How does one learn to dance like this

How would I go about achieving the ability to dance like Sam Rockwell in this audition video? Is it just a matter of imitating James Brown videos or is there a particular course of study?

You might look at Melbourne Shuffle instructional videos, there's some of that style in the side-kicking and the footwork.

Similar moves to electro swing. Watch these videos and the ones on the side panel once you're on these videos as several are instructional videos on how to do the footwork and such. it's mesmerizing.
