Where should I sell my camera, in Seattle?
December 27, 2013 11:04 AM

I want to sell my Nikon D40. I live just north of Seattle. What's the best place for me to sell it?

I want to replace it with a Canon S100, so a store that would give me credit towards one would be fine.

I hate haggling -- I want to be able to walk in, or look at a website, and be told a price I can take or leave.

Have you called Glazer's Camera? They sell used gear, so maybe they will buy yours or sell on commission.

KEH, if you're willing to ship.

Kenmore Camera is in a convenient location for me, so if they have a good reputation I'll go there.

Ken more is awesome, and will give you Avery fair price for your gear.
We went there not too long ago and were pleasantly surprised at what we got for some old (analog) Nikon gear.

Any reason why you don't want to use the obvious choices such as eBay/Craigslist?

Because I hate selling electronics on eBay or Craigslist.

I had a good experience with Kenmore Camera, which I've driven past hundreds of times and not noticed. Thanks!
