Seen any good (by good I mean bad) erotic thrillers?

My wife and I are big fans of cheesy erotic thrillers. Can you suggest any we haven't seen?

We've worked our way through most of the "classics" of the genre, including Sliver, Jade, Showgirls, Basic Instinct (1 & 2), Killing Me Softly, Fatal Attraction, Wild Things, Cruel Intentions, Poison Ivy (1 & 2), Body of Evidence, Disclosure, Original Sin, Color Of Night, Shattered, Consenting Adults...I've probably forgotten a few, but you get the idea. Any others in a similar vein you'd recommend, hivemind?

Maybe Cronenberg's Crash. I've seen it more than once, and I'm still not sure if it's good, bad or so bad it's good.

Response by poster: Ah yes, I forgot Body Double, which is amazing.

Best answer: Maybe you guys should go through the '90s part of Shannon Tweed's filmography.

You don't get much worse than The Rapture. I don't know if I could even hate-watch it again, despite David Duchovny's awesome hair.

Yes, definitely Shannon Tweed's entire oeuvre. The fact that she is married to Gene Simmons makes it even better somehow.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as bad-good or good-good and it's a little out of your genre, but try Secretary.

Billy Zane's filmography is a good source for movies like this, particularly some of his older films like This World, Then the Fireworks; Lake Consequence is exactly up your alley if you can get ahold of it (Zalman King is apparently another good source of these); Dead Calm. Looks like Three and Survival Island are also more recent candidates that look promising.

Also maybe some of the older random Jeff Goldblum movies, depending on how much eroticism you are looking for, Mr. Frost is a good (bad) one, maybe also Hideaway or Into the Night, and apparently also Twisted Obsession, which I don't remember ever tracking down but looks pretty bad!

Best answer: Go upmarket. Go French! Jean-Claude Brisseau's Secret Things actually has snob appeal.

If you like De Palma, don't miss Femme Fatale or his new one, Passion.

How about Damage with Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche? NC-17, hey yo. (Oh, I see marsha56 beat me to it. Anyway, seconded.)

Gotta second KatlaDragon's Zalman King recommendation. Two Moon Junction is kind of a key text in the history of cheesy erotic thrillers, doubly so if you have any kind of affection for Sherilyn Fenn from Twin Peaks.

Maybe Dream Lover with Madchen Amick, also from Twin Peaks. And Spader! (Make sure to get the "special sexy unrated version" as pictured at Wikipedia I guess.)

Foodybat, am I forgetting about an erotic moment or two in Scanners? I guess that dude with the mustache and glasses in that one scene with Michael Ironside gives pretty good head, but ...

You need to see Zandalee starring Nicolas Cage. Steve Buscemi and Marissa Tomei are in it too but don't be fooled by talent, this movie is the pits!

In addition to Shannon Tweed, you may also want to look at Shannon Whirry's filmography in the 90's. Oh, the two Shannons. Good times.
