Business Card Templates for OpenOffice
October 5, 2005 1:33 PM

I'm now using OpenOffice 1.1.5 on WinXP sp2, as I don't intend to buy Word/Office or whatever it's called these days. It's ok, but has a real shortage of built-in templates. I'm particularly looking for business cards i can adapt. I have googled - there's not a lot out there for XP, a bit for Linux. Do you have any links?

Avery Office Products has templates for all of their stock products that will work in Open Office. I used their business card template just the other day.

The templates for Linux should work in Windows with no problem. If you need something to extract them, a program like IZArc should do the trick.

Otherwise, there's a TON of templates on the Microsoft Office web site. If you go to the site with Firefox, they'll just let you download the template compressed in a .CAB file, which you can extract (with IZArc, for example) and open up in OpenOffice.
