Help me find this painting
October 20, 2013 1:51 PM

Years ago I saw a painting in a newspaper with an accompanying article. I really liked the painting and made a vague mental note to look up more online but never actually did. As I recall, the painting was called something like "The Pioneers" and it was very detailed semi-futuristic buildings on the side of a cliff. I'd like to find it or the artist again.

This was probably between eight and twelve years ago. It would have been a small, local paper that I read it in but the Sunday version usually had sections from a national paper, including an Arts section, so I don't think that it was a local artist. I remember the article talking about how the artist used a ton of detail in the futuristic/scifi elements to make them look very real and then put them in natural settings.
