Font ID from Fox FXX promo

Font ID: This is one of the fonts Fox is using on their new "FXX" network. Sans, geometric, no curves, only horizontal, vertical or 45 degree strokes.

Sorry for the lousy picture, but I couldn't figure out a way to screen grab an example. I didn't have any luck with Whatfontis.com.

Try Identifont, but keep in mind it may have been created for them and thus unavailable/unidentifiable.

Best answer: It looks like Typodermic's Jillican.

More general advice: see if Fox is using it on their/the network's website. Then check the source.

I'm not even certain that's a typeface per se. It's more of a pixelated font than anything that would be out there in TTF or whatnot. Anyway, those would be your keywords even if it's an actual typeface imitating screen display mechanics -- pixelated, block, bitmap. But it may be something created within a dedicated display computer, like whatever has replaced the Video Toaster these days.

Clearlydemon is right -- it's Jillican. One of my friends worked on some graphics for them.

Response by poster: Thanks Clearlydemon, that's it.

It reminded me of Frank L. Wright's "Exhibition."
