Is CarBuyCo a reputable service? Experiences?

CarBuyCo is offering me my asking craigslist price for my vehicle I haven't been able to sell?
http://www.carbuyco.com/
had a Chevy Malibu with mechanical problems on CL for weeks with no interest. Talked with carbuyco and they offered me my asking price.
Is there a catch in unaware of?

I'm not finding much of a web presence aside from what their marketing team has posted in response to similar questions, but if they'll write you a check (that clears) for the price you want, what's the problem? Just don't sign anything until you're comfortable with the deal, and remember that you're free to walk away at any time. They do seem to be a legitimate business though.

The Better Business Bureau isn't definitive, but it's a good sign that they aren't totally bogus. It's a good rating with no issues. Most of the shady companies out there get bad marks on the BBB website.
I think bizwank's advice is sound.

Yeah, Carbuy, it's creepy that you responded here and used my undisclosed first name on this public site. Please request the admins to delete your comment.

Well, if their customer service is as good as their creepy ass web stalking, I'm in for the best car selling experience of my LIFE!

In light of CarBuyCo's creepy behavior and information leaking, you may not want to do business with them, in which case it might be worth calling around to a couple local used car dealerships and seeing if they're interested. A business that deals in buying/selling/repairing cars will be more likely to buy one with mechanical issues than an individual on CL as they're better equipped to asses it's true value in the marketplace once repaired.
