I need a License to Drive

What's the best driving school in Chicago for me?

I'm 29 and need to get a driver's licence. I don't have a car to practice with, and my work/school schedule limits when I can take classes. I'm a fast learner, and have been behind the wheel before briefly; I'm looking for a place that will let me progress at my own pace as opposed to having to sit through boring class sessions. Does anyone have experience with any driving schools in Chicago (preferably the Humboldt Park/Logan Square/Wicker Park area); or should I just study for the written test, and then take the practical test over and over again until I figure it out? Thanks!

The thing with class sessions is that you are sharing the cost (for the "book learning" part of the course) with the others in the room. Are you saying that you want one-on-one instruction?

Check with AAA or your insurance company (if you have renter's or homeowner's insurance - or whoever you would use if you ever got a car) - they likely have a pre-approved list.
