Are these the richest, fondest days of our lives

Is the formation time or tentative-building-time of a relationship more enchanting than the middle or long haul of the relationship? For instance, the chase between 2 love-ly people in a movie or tv show is usually more interesting and captivating than the together-ever-after..... Even if it's a confusing and stormy time, do you find the beauty in the build-up?
