Ever saved anyone's life? Anyone ever saved yours?

It happens so often in movies, but it has to happen from time to time in real life. Have you ever saved anyone's life? Has anyone ever saved your life?

Let's avoid technicalities like: "I could have killed that guy and didn't, so I saved his life." But I think even if it's just in your normal job, that's valid. (Bonus points if it took going above the normal tasks of the job, like an ambulance driver jumping a curb to get a patient in.)

No real use for any of this, just looking for interesting stories.

Response by poster: Fair call. Ok with me if this needs to be moderated out. (I'm not sure if I'm able to remove a question myself.)

While it's still up: Reddit would love this sort of question. Probably already on there.
