What do you wish your parents did differently when you were a kid?
In the interest of obtaining suggestions for better parenting, I would like to know what are some things you wish your parents had done differently in the way they raised you, in particular things related to schooling and education, activities, food, encouragement, discipline, interaction and communication, friends, travel, etc. I'm not looking for referrals to parenting books or general principles but rather for personal experiences (and if you'd like to also mention that best things your parents did, that's also welcome information!).
