Can I meet some new contacts to add to my network and help me land my dream job?

I have a chance to make my entire life change, and in an extremely positive way- but I have to find a leg up in order to pull this off. I’m posting here because I am hoping to make some connections with someone within the company that I have a job interview with next week, so I can possibly network my way into having that much higher of a chance of GETTING this LIFE CHANGING job!!

This job would seriously change EVERYTHING for my family and me, and I’m more than qualified for the position. I’ve been reading up on interviewing tips and techniques, so I can make sure I’m all brushed up for this (I’m just trying to do anything I can think of to GET THIS JOB!!!!!)... I’ve researched the company and done everything else I can think of too, except for this- I need to make some contacts within this company somehow! I thought it might be useful to take this problem to my MeFites, but I also don’t think it’s a good idea to post the company’s name here, so there’s an inherent dilemma to my idea… So, I will just state that the position is in Residential Management at an upscale apartment community in Los Angeles. I have over five years of experience (direct experience- I have several additional years of related experience as well) in the field and I am certified to operate all of the microcomputer applications that the company uses on a daily basis, and that may be required to perform the job. I would be very well suited for this job, I want it so badly, and quite frankly, I need it.

So, does anyone have any advice? Does anyone happen to have contacts of any sort within the Los Angeles apartment management field? Should I be more specific in such a public forum? Is this idea completely idiotic to begin with? Does anyone have access to a magic wand with the ability to grant me this job…..pretty, pretty please?
;) I very much appreciate your insight!
