Help me get my husband tickets for the Book of Mormon in NYC.

How can I get a pair of tickets for the Book of Mormon in NYC, ideally without spending a ton of money?
The lottery is all done at night. The line in the morning is for standing room.

And standing room is your best bet, if you can deal with getting there ultra-early.

After a little Googling, this combination of lottery/SRO lines looks like a decent strategy.

Lottery is held two hours before every performance. They start collecting names two and a half hours beforehand.
People line up for SRO, sometimes early in the morning for matinees, early in the afternoon for evening shows. Weather, holidays, etc are factors in what time is good to show up. SRO tickets go on sale one hour before showtime, so you'll be able to put your name in for the lottery if you're there already for SRO. I usually join the line 5 or 6 hours before they go on sale, but there's been random occasions when the line was still nearly empty at lotto time. Of course, once everyone loses the lottery, there's a mad rush for the SRO line.
