Transparent notes on your desktop

I'm a big fan of Mac OS X's native application, Stickies. Screenshot here: Stickies on overkill. You can make them translucent -- but is there a way/application to make them totally transparent, so that you'd only see the text, floating on top of your wallpaper?
The Stickies program does have settings in it for Alpha (transparency) channels, but it would take someone a lot more experienced with compilers to figure out just which lines to change.
In the meantime, there is a stickies alternative called Post Plus which features transparency settings. (I've never used it)
