Entomology filter: I've lived in Southern Ontario most of my life and I can't recall ever seeing this guy before.

He's about half a centimeter long.

They like to eat aphids.

A ladybug larva. Good to have, as there are a lot of aphids about.

Response by poster: I guess I really tapped into the zeitgeist with this one. Considering how common these guys must be, it's really startling that so many of us noticed them (again?) for the first time today.
