What's this bumper sticker?
July 18, 2005 8:14 AM

A couple months ago I saw three parked cars in a row with the same bumper sticker. I made the requisite "Are they on the same team?" crack. Since then, I've been noticing the same bumper sticker on other cars. What is it?

It's a white square sticker. It's applied at a 45 degree angle, so it's "diamond-shaped". There's a horizontal blue line across the middle. There's a perpendicular vertical blue line across the middle. There are two other verticle blue lines from top to bottom - one on each side of the center vertical line.

And why apply the bumper sticker at an angle? Couldn't you just rotate the symbol?

Might be a Christian thing. Sounds like it could be interepreted as three crosses, e.g. the crucifixion at Calgary. That's just a guess though.

I've seen it and have assumed that it is the parking or membership sticker for a country club, gym or condo. You and I seem to live in the same area, so I haven't ruled out the theory. There's also the orange fox head with the black fox hunting helmet on a green ground, which I also see a lot. I assume that is of similar origin/purpose.

Is it Hollin Hills home owners group (see favicon)? (Also, see this.) I think it's a stylized HH of some sort.

That is definitely what *I* have seen. Thanks, skynxnex.

In the same area you might also see a green background with white "ww" for Wayne Wood.

What's the bright yellow one with the bat silhouettes flying across it? Have you seen this one? Some sort of bat rescue organization, maybe?

Since we have already answered the question, I'll just throw this in:

the crucifixion at Calgary

"I died for your sins, eh."

"I died for your sins, eh."

Hm, yes. The V is below the G. Right finger, wrong continent.
