What're your favorite photography blogs, forums, and magazines that focus on the craft and practice?

I've been an enthusiastic amateur photographer for 17 years. And while I've read many books, I haven't explored the web as much when it comes to what people are doing or thinking when they take photos.

So that's what I'm looking for: People writing about the practice and craft of photography (and good photos too, of course). Particularly from photographers whose work you respect.

- Less technology/equipment-centric material
- People do publish lighting set-ups or behind-the-scenes descriptions, which I like. I'd also like to hear about how they came to those ideas.
- Photo blogs are cool, but I'm looking for some exposition on what they did or were thinking when they took a picture.
- I keep finding forums where people geek out over equipment. Where do people talk about actual photography?
- Print magazines! I'm subscribed to Aperture and the British Journal of Photography (recently relaunched). But I'd love to hear about more.

Behind the scenes post on lighting (particularly, overcoming bad lighting and little space). Here's another one.

Note: the blog to which I've linked belongs to a good friend of mine. She has an amateur wrestling photography gig that requires creative techniques :).

The print mag is far better than the website, but - http://www.pdnonline.com/

Conscientious
LPV Magazine
2.8
American Suburb X

Also, Hardcore Street Photography on flickr is an excellent, albeit unfortunately named group featuring discussion and critique as well as being a gateway of sorts to other sites/groups with a street photography focus. Some excellent archived threads on the main page.

Eric Kim's blog tends to be the sort of essays, lessons, workshops, and behind-the-scenes posts you might find interesting, especially if you have any interest in street photography.

Photography on the Net is a very active forum with a huge archive of great information. It leans toward Canon equipment, but all are welcome.

I do like Eric Kim's blog, especially because introduces me to a lot of photographers that I didn't know about before.

Photography on the Net is great for equipment, I've bought some stuff off their forums. But I'm looking for less gear-centric content. People spend too much time debating lens metrics there.

nthing strobist, it's really great.

I also like Zack Arias, John Keatley, Joe McNally. I think Guess the Lighting might be posting regularly again.
