Carpet installation in Seattle?

Carpet installation in Seattle? Experiences with Empire or other?
I need to have my living room in Seattle carpeted (approx. 240 sq ft), and am looking for guidance and suggestions on installers.
Empire is running a 70% off closeout sale right now which sounds tempting, but I honestly have no idea about pricing to begin with. I haven't gotten any estimates yet; was hoping you all had some input.
So - have you used Empire in the Seattle area? Was your experience good, bad, other? How did their prices compare?
I would love to hear recommendations of other installers if you were happy with their work and prices, as well.
I've never had this done before so am pretty clueless - any tips or tricks or words of advice are very much appreciated. I don't have a ton of money to do this so am looking for something affordable. Thanks!

I am not in Seattle, but I am in the carpet business. In my area, Empire is known for bogus sales and shoddy installations. Realistically carpet at your local carpet store isn't marked up enough to discount 70%. That's a scam. Shop around a little - go to Home Depot or Lowes and see what they have and get an estimate. Their "specials" are usually priced competitively, but your local mom and pop store will probably beat their regular prices when the job is priced out with carpet pad and labor. Also, there is no free pad, free labor etc, its built in some where else. Good luck!

Response by poster: For anyone's future ref: so far I've checked Home Depot and Lowe's, and they both charge $100 for installation (includes measuring), and prices of carpet range from about $2-5/sq ft. Separate charges for tear out (about $0.25/sq ft) and carpet paddding.

No experience with Empire, sorry.
