Entomology Filter. What kind of insect left this behind?

Possibly a millipede?

That's more or less how I remember praying mantis egg sacks looking when I was a kid in Ontario. The see lots on google that don't look exactly the same but I'm wondering if it's regional difference?

Yes, it is from a mantis. (I am an entomologist, lol, so I am certain)
