Is wikipedia accurate about instruments of the chinese government?

According to the article history, lot of the information is added from a "CIA website", probably this one.

What part of it do you question? It's pretty typical for a communist information service.

Response by poster: Only a few phrases stuck out at me -- "among the premier world news agencies." -- "employs more than 10,000 people, as compared to about 1,300 for Reuters" -- etc. It just occured to me that wikipedia is succeptible to organized manipulation by gov. employees (not succeptible to disorganized manipulation by individuals).

Response by poster: Oh. OK. Now that I've burrowed through the history, those claims are apparently from the CIA report you mentioned. Nevermind.
