GMail not working with Firefox?
November 12, 2011 10:42 AM

What happened to my GMail messages?

My GMail messages are still appearing in my inbox but when I open one to read, only the subject and labels show up. I can't read the body of the message or the to/from information.

Normally, I can click something to make more information appear, like expand all or simply clicking on the header of the message to make it expand, but that isn't working.

This is only affecting one browser on one computer. It works in Chrome and on my Vista computer. It only doesn't work in my Firefox browser on my XP computer. I just updated to Firefox 8 but I did this for both computers and the Vista still works. I tried refreshing Firefox, restarting it, restarting my computer, and clearing the browsing history/cookies/etc using CC Cleaner but nothing works.

What is going on?

Did you try another browser on the XP computer? That would help narrow the possible issues.

See if it works after disabling GreaseMonkey and any other extensions. If it does, start adding them back in bit by bit until you find the one that is causing the issue.

Fixed. It was Adblock Plus. I just had to update my subscriptions for the extension and now gmail is working properly. Thanks for the help!

Good grief...
I've been struggling with the same problem for 12 hours or so. Thanks for the question ... and answer
