Help me find a count down clock.
October 26, 2011 3:01 PM
I'm looking for a physical countdown clock that counts down to an arbitrary time. Ideally, it would be similar to the one that Robert Khoo has in the Penny Arcade TV Show. I believe this is the clock in question and that underneath the "New Year" is a whiteboard. If I could find one just like this, that would be great, otherwise any digital countdown clock would work fine.
The link doesn't work for me either, but I know from watching the show that the "countdown clock" that mge is talking about is a large LED display like 15cm by 60cm (or something vaguely those dimensions) rather than a small desk clock.

I rehosted it on imgur, perhaps this link works better: http://imgur.com/wfK1O

I spent a long time looking for something exactly like this for work. They are very difficult to find, and very expensive when you do. This is the cheapest (yes, really) one I could find, but it only does 99mins 99seconds.
There are several more here and all over google under the keywords LED timer or coutdown timer. Here is one that appears to be pretty much exactly what you want, but wow is it expensive.

You can buy countdown clocks geared toward expectant parents, brides-to-be, etc. for much less, though I am not sure this is what you are looking for.

You can get a NY Giants-themed countdown clock here for under $50. Presumably, you can paint over or otherwise cover up the football graphics if you don't like them.

Here is one with no whiteboard, but maybe space to attach one?
There is one exactly like the one you posted (except Corona branded) with white board and the whole bit at a bar here. I will steal it next time I am drunk, obvs.
