Movers needed in TO

Moving from Toronto to Kingston, ON. Does anyone have recommendations for movers?

The other threads seem pretty old and some of the links are now down, so I was wondering if anyone who's done a move in Ontario from Toronto has any suggestions.

I've heard good things about El Cheapo and Energy Crew, and bad things about Two Small Men. Are there others I should know about? Thanks hivemind!

I'm not in Toronto, but I just did a move myself. This site has a listing of reputable moving companies: Canadian Association of Movers (CAM). You can also call and ask about their history. Also check out BBB for their accreditation and rating.

I'm in the same position now. I've found this BlogTO post which is a bit dated, but a good starting point. I've had Friend with a Cube Van, Tender Touch, and Arby Cartage all recommended to me. I'll be checking in to see what other people have to say.

I highly recommend El Cheapo if they head out to Kingston. We've used them twice (based on recommendations in past threads) and couldn't have been happier.

We've also recommended them to friends who share our opinion.

Just in case anyone needs this as a reference later on, I ended up going with Energy Crew. Their prices were reasonable, and they showed up on time. The actual move was within the estimated range, and nothing was broken except the TV stand which had a chip. They are a no frills moving company (showed up with a white, unmarked cube truck), but they also had no BS. All in all, a pleasant moving experience.
