Trying to identify a short story I read in some sort of Harper's or Atlantic type magazine a few years ago.

I believe it was set at Christmas time or somehow otherwise dealt with Christmas. It was about a depressed and very intelligent man named Clad, so called because, having anticipated the awkwardness of being bored nude, he had clothed himself in stray pieces of uterine flotsam, and the doctor who delivered him had observed, "He's clad."

Please tell me I didn't somehow make this up; I'd really like to know that it's real and who wrote it and so on.
