Tell me where to learn golf in Pasadena, CA. Please?

I live pretty close by to the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, CA. Can you recommend a golf pro to seek out? Also, what questions should I be asking to see if I'm a good match with the instructor? I'm a beginner. Never been out on the fairway. But I've hit a few balls on my own. Thanks!

I got lessons down there myself (present from the GF).

They have guys there you can chat with. Talk with someone in their golf store and they will refer someone. Ask around if you are picky about who you will work with. You can just tell them that you are a beginner, or tell them specific areas of your game that you want to work on.

If you are going to do like a 5 or 10 lesson package, I think that they'd comp you one up front to check them out if you asked.

Side note, when you are working with their guys, you get free balls. Before your session is up, ask to get loaded up with more ammo, it helps keep the practice time cheaper.
