What is this insect?

We have just found this insect on our wall - it looks a bit like a caterpillar but can anyone help identify what it is?

Looks like a clothes moth larvae.

Do you have carpet? Check your carpet. I discovered my infestation in January and still haven't been able to get rid of them. Turns out, they really, really like eating my carpet.

Not a silverfish. Looks like a species of bagworm.

Not an answer, but I always wondered what the heck those things were. Ugh. I thought they were alien seed pods.
