Keeping, categorizing, searching and publishing notes

I am working on a note categorization system. Would there be any interest in utilizing this here on MeFi?
Currently, I'm using an XML + reStructuredText system to categorize my lecture and reading notes from graduate school. Currently, it's extremely raw – you have to know XML and enter the metadata by hand. However, if people are interested, I could work on making this into a user-friendly application and throw it up somewhere.
This system is more based around metadata and searchability than mainstream notetaking tools like Evernote. It's also very publishable, and could generate HTML and PDF output simply using the abilities of its component parts.
Do you think that you would find it interesting for your own studies?

This post was deleted for the following reason: once this is more fleshed out it should probably go into projects but for now it's not a great fit for here. -- jessamyn
Yes, I would.
