Help Me Remember This Moon Game

Atari or Nintendo video game. It's driving me crazy that I can't remember the name of it.
I remember playing a pretty fun video game in the late 80's or early 90's. It was either on Atari or Nintendo. I am pretty sure that "moon" was in the title. I remember that to get to a level you first were flying through space and would land on a moon or a planet. I don't remember what happened after you landed. The graphics were pretty basic - hence I'm thinking it could have been Atari. I don't remember the game being a popular one. Any ideas?

Response by poster: I vaguely think that when I was flying through space prior to landing on a planet or moon, it was like I was in the space ship looking out, and that perhaps I didn't see the space ship at all. I don't remember the space ship at all once I landed.

Response by poster: Not Lunar Landing - that was too basic. Not sure about Moon Patrol because I don't remember what happened after landing on the moon or planet.

Best answer: Here's a list of all the games with the word Moon in the title, you can see all of the Atari games and all of the Nintendo games to see if any ring a bell.

Response by poster: you can play it here. Although it's just not the same without an Atari joystick.
