BDSM in Battery Park?

CraigslistCasualEncountersw4mNYCfilter: what's with Battery Park?

Lately, I've been noticing a barrage of ads (NSFW if CL CE ads are not safe) that supposedly originate from Battery Park, most of them with a bdsm angle. What gives?

Obvious answer is spammer, but why would they provide a convenient "tag" like that (for us to ignore) when it's not obligatory to put a place of origin? Also, this isn't just one or two weeks, it's been months and months like this.

Anonymous because, well, it's CL Casual Encounters!

A bdsm angle? Maybe a troll is trying to make a pun on 'Battery' park?

This ad sheds a little light. Safe for work unless merely visiting the Casual Encounters section would be too risky - no sexual content at all.

They don't seem to be specifically bdsm related. You put in the search term "dom" so those are what came up.
If you go to casual encounters w4m, you will see that they appear consistently under general non-bdsm headings as well.

For the sake of history (since craigslist posts expire), Sara C.'s link says the following:

Clearly someone has set up a bot to collect data from ads and repost it using the first options that come up (Battery Park). CL should track down this user's server address and block him. Crazy and annoying.

Flag the Battery Park poster!

Same thing's happening in the Bay Area, at Alamo Square / NOPA. Definitely a spammer. Flag and move on.

Seconding spam. Another one of the posts with the same title says this:

This ad is a fake! She is using an old posting of mine from November of last year, and posting it as if its her writing. This broad is a total flake, not to mention phony. She has used two of my old postings that I know of, and another woman wrote to tell me she had used one of hers as well. FAKE FAKE FAKE...... Those words arent hers, theyre mine, and it sooo pisses me off that she posts on Craigslist but cant even compose her own ad. Is it just me or does that make no sense. Uugh!

Wow, and here I was thinking it was a reference to Desperately Seeking Susan.
