Stephen Fry advice.

Looking for a video clip of Stephen Fry in an interview where he gives advice to young people. He specifically talks about the abnegation of self and being someone who is interested in others and not talking about oneself all time.

You *might* find this in one of the interviews Fry did at the Hayes book festival. Here is the first in the series of 6 clips that he did in 2009 - the others follow on. If nothing else this is an entertaining use of an hour or so.

He was also back this year - 2010 - so you have even more to look through. This one goes through the alphabet. In 12 parts.

Here you go. The stuff about abnegation of self and 'quiet perseverance' is about 4:30 into it.

The whole thing is worth watching, by the way.
