Bed Movers...no, not that kind...needed in Independence, Missouri.

Lazy Moving Filter: I need to find a company to move a full-sized bed from House A in Independence, Missouri, to House B in Independence, Missouri.

Okay, I've apparently not lived an appropriate life as I know no one with a truck and need to move a bed (mattress, box springs, rails, slats, headboard and footboard) from my house to a relative's house so I can take delivery of my new bed.

The one moving company I've used in the past is great and willing to do it, but it'll cost $328, their minimum charge. I can probably rent a truck for that price and do it myself, but the problem is I honestly do not have the time to spare at the moment.

Does anyone know of small, local (KCMO or Kansas), trustworthy moving companies that might do this sort of minor move in a couple of weeks (around or on July 3rd) for less than $328?

Craigslist is perfect for this sort of thing. (At least in my town.)

Do you have a friend(s) that can help move the bed? You can rent a pickup truck for a few hours from Home Depot. You buy lunch or a few coldies for your friends and the pickup truck is $19/hr.

Is there a taxi service in town that has a van? I did that once. 18 bucks.
