Just about anything by Alma Flor Ada - I just finished "My name is Maria Isabel". Some of the Magic School Bus books and other popular kids series are translated as well - I picked up quite a few from the Scholastic Book Fair end of year sales at nearby warehouses.

I've been planning to try and find some of the Steamboat series(es) when my child is a bit older. They have a different color series for different age groups. I've read Cucho from the Orange series and it was quite good. Ladridos y Conjuros, also part of the Orange series, is absolutely outstanding. I don't see it in the catalog on the Steamboat page, so it may be out of print, but if you can find a copy of it somewhere, I guarantee the whole family will love it.
