Wildflowers for a limper

Can I see the Southern California wildflowers, with limited mobility?
I recently had surgery and can't walk much (still somewhat dependent on crutches). Would it still be fun for me to go to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve? It's about a two hour drive, so I want to make sure it's going to be worth it. Can I see much from my car or near my car? Is there anywhere else that would be better, in my situation?

You absolutely can. There are usually plenty of flowers growing along the roads so you don't even have to go to the designated reserve. As of April 15th the area is blooming and it looks like a good year.
Since you'll be in the area you should check out the nearby Musical Road as well.
