Name that '80s soundtrack

80s instrumental syth-rock filter: The soundtrack of a commercial I saw on TV yesterday tickled my memory. I remembered liking the song as a kid, but I do not know its name or the name of the band. (Heck, I can't even remember what the commercial was.)
I threw together a midi file of a the choru, which should be instantly recognizable to anyone who knows it (despite my poor attempt at reprocucing it): What is this song?

Yup, definitely. Though you really should have learned by now that the way to transcribe music on AskMeFi is by an intricate series of dum's and da's. This makes it much too easy.

Arrested Development fans will also recognize this as the theme music for Gob's magic shows.

jjg: That's the first thing that came to my head when I heard it. I totally visualized GOB doing his magic flair, and dance.

Um, Shawnstring, I'm confused. The response was so bad that they had to repeat the song five times? I would think the crowd response would deteriorate dramatically every time they repeated. Why would they do this?
