How do you get anything from a passive resistant selfish person.

You don't. You can't get anything out of someone who's not willing to give it to you.

Why should they give you anything? - unless they stole your stuff, in which case, ask the police :-)

Be a little bit selfish yourself and start looking for things in places where it's possible that you might find them. Remember the story about the man who drops his keys in the dark, then goes to the end of the road to look for them because that's where the lamppost is?

Best answer: They are selfish, so try to benefit them in some way. For example you could nominate them as the leader of the passive resistance movement in question. They would surely be more likely to give you something after that.

Give them a piece of your mind. Expect nothing in return. My personal theory is that truly selfish people are missing an empathy bone. Don't try and convert them. It rarely, if ever, works.
