Do you run a bakery or cupcake store in NYC?
Hi,
I teach Junior High and one of my student's dreams is to run a cupcake store in NYC. I think that if she actually got to write to someone who did this, she may start to learn what steps she would have to take to help make her dream become a reality.
Ideally this would be a cupcake store in Manhattan.
This is an ask.metafilter for the ages if someone comes through on this...

Response by poster: I had already tried contacting cupcakecafe directly but the woman there said they'd probably be too busy to write back – which was the case. I thought instead of calling up a bunch I would try here first to see if someone would volunteer.
It seems like they're a pretty busy bunch in general.

Um, I hope they can help you out, but I certainly wouldn't bring up the fact that they have enough time to Twitter, nor would I expect that they're not busy. When a company posts to Twitter, that doesn't mean the people working there are bored -- it means one of their staffers is doing marketing/advertising for the company.
