Firefox + Gears = ?

Help: Gears + Firefox = "Your Web browser settings do not allow you to run unsigned applications."

I'm running Firefox 3.6 [More exactly:Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)]

Before I updated from 3.5, Gears installed seemed to be working fine. Now, the message in my add-ons windows says, "incompatible with 3.6". And all three boxes - options, enable, uninstall - are grayed out.

When I try to install Gears, I get the error message, "application improperly formatted. Specifically: "+ Your Web browser settings do not allow you to run unsigned applications."

Any suggestions?

Gears is not yet compatible with Firefox 3.6, and it doesn't look like there has been a release made yet to update it in the past week.

I was checking on that myself last night when I said "hey, I haven't downloaded 3.6 yet". I was met with sadness that I couldn't go yet.
