Looking for a Simple HTML Dingus

Is there a very simple, free, standalone OSX application like the HTML Post Opera widget? A dashboard widget would be fine, too; I mostly just want it to run on its own on a PPC computer.

Have you thought about using something like TextExpander?

That looks interesting, but I'd rather not have to pay for it.

Tiny MCE could be used (with the toggle editor example) in a locally held webpage.
Don't know how you would make this into a dashboard widget though.

I've added an example.
I'm not sure (from your description) if this is what you're looking for, and if it's not then apologies.

That would probably work pretty well, but I don't know how to put it in a locally held webpage.

Download this file and unzip it to your Home or documents Folder. (Any folder is fine).

Then create a shortcut (not sure how to do that on a mac) or a bookmark to "index.html" in the local folder.
* To bookmark it, you just need to double click index.html (which should open it in safari), and add a bookmark.
* To create a shortcut (Alias), drag the index.html file to your desktop while holding down the Alt and Apple keys. Double clicking the alias should open the file.

Hopefully that'll work.
If not, tell me what's gone wrong and I'll see if I can get better / working instructions on here.

OK, got it to work, thanks! That's just about perfect.
