RIP Cinnabon, We Hardly Knew Ye

What on earth happened to Cinnabon? Normally I don't eat a lot of junk food, but after taking relatives to the airport I decided to get a Cinnabon for old times' sake. It was awful -- doughy and slimy, and not even a hint of the buttery wonderfulness that made it famous. Has anyone else noticed that the quality of the core product has plummeted? Did they decide to forego butter after it was sold in 2008?
