I Haven't Had So Much Fun Since the Pigs Ate My Brother

"I Haven't Had So Much Fun Since the Pigs Ate My Brother." Aside from this post, what year and where was the first time you heard this phrase?
A variant of the phrase appears in a past askmifi post. I'm hoping someone has a few more details. Google searches show the phrase here and there, but I'm curious what this particular audience has to say. Thank you.

You'll get better search results if you phrase it as "I haven't had this much fun since the pigs ate my brother" instead of "so much fun."

mgrichmond is no doubt correct, but if I were going to guess I would guess Firesign Theater.

For years (20+) I've been using the phrase "I haven't laughed so much since my auntie died." I know it's an entirely different phrase, but the sentiment's the same. Heard it from (iirc) an older brother of a pal of mine.

Here's a story dating from the 1950s or so (bottom of page) of someone's brother getting eaten by the pigs, or nearly so.

My dad says it slightly differently: "I haven't had this much fun since my pet pig at my baby brother." And he's been saying it most of my life - I'm 34. I have no idea where he got it from.

Robert Bloch is quoted as having said 'I haven't had so much fun since the rats ate my baby sister' on accepting an award in 1975.

My great-grandmother says it quoting her sister. Not sure where her sister heard it.

The phrase I have used many times (even here, possibly) is 'I haven't had this much fun since the hogs ate my sister'. I don't know the provenance, but I've used it for at least 10 or 15 years, I think.

My grandpa (born 1917) used to say that all the time. Couldn't tell you when I heard it first. This is in the upper Midwest.
