Time is on my side

Interested in ideas on what is a complete waste of time. What are yours?
For example, to save time I always use those address labels for bill-paying, and I never fold underwear because life is short, right? I'm interested in reading your thoughts on time-savers and time-wasters. All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

I had a friend who would push the close button on the elevator doors before he'd push the floor button, then push the floor button while the doors were closing. I'm not sure if this actually saves more time than the time it takes to think something like this up.

Time wasters:
1. Having hundreds of feeds in your RSS folder
2. Grocery shopping multiple times a week
3. Not communicating in a forthright manner, in e-mail or in person.
4. Playing games on the Web
5. Folding shirts instead of hanging them.
6. Using envelopes that aren't self sealing.
7. Trying to use overly elaborate organization systems.
Time savers:
1. Using Remember the Milk to schedule reminders for important events or bills' due dates.
2. Keeping a grocery list updated so that you know exactly what to buy at the store.
3. Cooking in bulk for the week and then freezing.
4. Using an iPod Touch to check e-mail, rather than the PC.

I've had roommates who insisted on completely washing dishes by hand (sponge, scrubbing, soap, perfectly clean) and then putting those just-cleaned dishes into the dishwasher. Prerinsing dishes is one thing, but this seemed like overkill. Wash by hand or in the dishwasher as you prefer, but doing both seems like a complete waste of time to me.
