My girlfriend needs to get her wisdom teeth removed and we figured since we're close to Thailand it would be cheaper to do it here. Has anyone ever done this before, and could you recommend the person that did it? Or do you have anything to say that would dissuade us from going down that route. We're not really planning on going to down to some sketchy place on Khao San Road, but part of the idea is to save money compared to the States.

The Joint Commission International is a United States-based healthcare accreditation non-profit. I learned about the organization from a recent mefi question on medical tourism. The link leads you to a list of accredited hospitals. Scroll down to Thailand.

No personal experience with dental services, but having lived in Bangkok, I can say that Bumrungrad and Bangkok Nursing Hospital (BNH) are considered to be the best healthcare facilities in the city and do have dental services.

Also no experience with dental services, but BNH that AnnaRat listed was one of the nicest hospitals I've ever been to, nicer than any hospital I've seen in the US.
