Inspirational Places to Travel From Hong Kong !

Holiday / Vacation Inspiration Needed ! A last minute opportunity for an Asian getaway has popped up ! I will be in Hong Kong, my travel destination will be ?????? >>>>> ????

I'm going to be in Hong Kong on the 28th of April and need to make a decision on where to head off to for a break of 8 days ( till 6th May )

Any tips on where to go , best prices etc. I can easily fly somewhere in the region

Vietnam , Thailand , Cambodia are off the list as I have travelled a fair bit in those countries..

I'm earning New Zealand Dollars so needs to be budget focussed.

Looking for new experiences along side some R & R and my inspirational travel juices have dried up.... can the collective help ?

How about Goa? Super cheap, and beautiful.

How about the rest of China? From Kunming head up to Shangrila, stopping in Dali, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, etc., along the way? Can't say I'd spend a ton of time in Kunming. Yangshuo might be worth seeing too.
