Inspirational Places to Travel From Hong Kong !

Holiday / Vacation Inspiration Needed ! A last minute opportunity for an Asian getaway has popped up ! I will be in Hong Kong, my travel destination will be ?????? >>>>> ????

I'm going to be in Hong Kong on the 28th of April and need to make a decision on where to head off to for a break of 8 days ( till 6th May )

Any tips on where to go , best prices etc. I can easily fly somewhere in the region

Vietnam , Thailand , Cambodia are off the list as I have travelled a fair bit in those countries..

I'm earning New Zealand Dollars so needs to be budget focussed.

Looking for new experiences along side some R & R and my inspirational travel juices have dried up.... can the collective help ?

Best answer: How about the rest of China? From Kunming head up to Shangrila, stopping in Dali, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, etc., along the way? Can't say I'd spend a ton of time in Kunming. Yangshuo might be worth seeing too.
