To catch (or at least annoy) a laptop thief

My Macbook was stolen several months ago, and the presumed thief recently began taunting me via email. What can I do to get my much deserved revenge?

Some background: While I was on a foreign study program in Barcelona, I had my Mac laptop, along with some other belongings, stolen at an internet cafe. Luckily, I had insurance, and managed to get my laptop replaced.
A few days ago, however, I started getting emails that seem to be from the person who stole my laptop. The first one, for example, read:
dear jhon we look at your tour to spian
realy great where is your laptop mac bok pro 2.2 ghz

gloss screen

Today, I got another email from him, with one of my own pictures attached, which makes me pretty sure that he has my laptop. My question is: what can I do to mess with this guy? I only have his email address (a gmail account), and I recognize that my chances of getting back my laptop are essentially none. Nonetheless, I want to make him pay.... at least a little. I'll take suggestions as simple or complex (and ridiculous) as you've got.

That sucks, but revenge posts are strictly against the rules. FAQ.

Report it to the police and insurance company.

Block the sender's address.

Move on with your life.
