Where is Vista Contrast Adjust?

How do I adjust the contrast on my Inspiron running Vista?

Everything looks washed out :-(

I did ask Dell support, but the tech kept telling me to adjust the brightness, which is not contrast. I've used my googlefu with no luck.

Go to Personalize (either by right clicking on the desktop or through control panel). Click "Display Settings", then click the "Advanced Settings..." button.
In the window that pops up, you should have a way to get to the advanced color configuration. On my computer, I have a "Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile" tab. Yours probably says something different. I can then go into that tab and hit "Color Correction." Once there, I can adjust the contrast, gamma, and brightness.

I'd reset everything back to default and look at these images. If they are right, then your source is washed out.

Vista has a colors section where you can change the color of the OS elements, did you change that?

Could be your display panel is messed up too.
