What was that song?

NameThatTuneFilter: I heard a song last night. Sort of. Tell me what it is to keep me from going crazy.
Alright, contestants, this one's a doozy. I was out at a bar last night, playing DD. I am not particularly up on modern music, but the jukebox didn't seem to have any songs more than 5 years old on it. I heard a song. This is where it gets tricky.
See, the bar is loud. The music's loud, but that just means everyone yells over it. I couldn't actually hear much of anything the singer was saying. I also can't hum the tune, because while the bass line changed between a few notes, the singer's voice was a monotone, apart from the hook. Around 150-155bpm, near constant vocals, with two to three syllables per beat. I -think- the hook was "Are you [something] tonight?" but I can't be sure.
I know it's a modern song. Driving beat. Catchy. The singer's voice was (if I'm not transposing in my head) mostly hitting a high F# throughout the lyrics portion. If you can figure the song out from this, you're a damn clairaudient. Bonus points for youtube/audio link, because I -will- know it when I hear it.

Do you remember the melody (apart from the monotone vocal)? You could try humming it into Midomi.

Lonnnnng shot, but Numb by U2? It's more like 15 years old, though.

You never know with the Hive Mind, but in case you don't get what you're looking for here, I'd try calling the bar and seeing if they might be able to help you.

Even longer shot, but apart from the bpm (it's a wee bit slower, I think) it does like it could be 'Lonely Tonight' by Dragons - track 7 on the link...

Response by poster: More info: Male lead singer. Sort of rock/techno genre. Lead singer sounded a -bit- like Julian Casablancas of the strokes, but wasn't. That may also be influenced by me getting the driving beat mixed in my head with that of Reptilia. (Note: Song was not reptilia). Really minimalist music; bass line, drums, not much else as far as I could tell over 60 yelling people.
bjrn: If I can't get it A. answered, or B. out of my head by the time I go crazy, I'll call the bar. Thanks.
Chairboy: The first note of the singer on Lonely Tonight is dang close. Now imagine a song about 50% again as fast, where that's the -only- note the singer hits until the bridge. It might drop a half-step every 8 bars or so, but I think that's just the bass line under him.

Well, I checked for remixes, but there doen't seem to be anything that really does what you're describing. I think you have to ring the bar like bjrn says - that or go mad, but if you find it please post a follow up, this is bugging me too now...

Here's a stab in the dark for you... this song just came up on my iTunes as I was reading your question:
The Black Kids 'Listen to your body tonight'?

Could it be "Let it Rock" by Kevin Rudolf? It's new and he sings one note for most of the song.

This would be a little more likely if you were in Canada, but possibly "Are You Ready?" by The Tragically Hip. Singer is saying "Are You Ready To Love?" though.

More of a longshot based on the lyrics you mention but there's also Feel Good Hit of the Summer by Queens of the Stone Age

Response by poster: TwoWordReview: Okay, that's not it, but it's the closest so far. A little more of a driving beat, less pauses between phrases, but you get the idea.
