Re-Sending Email Attachments
October 12, 2004 3:27 PM

E-MailAttachmentFilter.
I regularly mail out reports to about 30 clients via e-mail attachment using OutlookExpress for Mac Classic.

Unfortunately, the most elegantly simple way of doing this mailing--using the Resend Button doesn't work; I can't just keep each client's file report name the same, write-over the file and RESEND the same e-mail (I have to manually detach and then attach each report).

In otherwords, if, on October 1, I attached file SmithReport to an e-mail and send it to Smith, on October 15, I can't just create the new report, again name it SmithReport, put it in the same folder, and RESEND the prior e-mail; if I do, the prior attachment (report) will be sent.

Any ideas on how to RESEND the existing e-mail but automatically send the new report/attachment? Another e-mail program? The attachments are PDFs, but I don't think that matters.

(yes, I apologize for not putting some of the above [MI].

You could easily do it in Notes is you understood Formula Language / LotusScript.

Thanks, but on This Olde Mac, that's probably a non-starter--although when the 30 clients grow to 100? Who knows?!

Should be trivial to script this.

Someone with a good grasp of AppleScript should be able to stitch something together for you, as OE is pretty scriptable (even on OS 9).
